About me.

A woman with light blue glasses and headphones smiling at a small, light brown puppy with a darker snout, which is nuzzling her chin.

I’m Bel, an Australian artist with a soft spot for the odd, the sweet, and the slightly feral. My art practice has been a lifelong adventure—full of twists, turns, and travels—and these days I’m following a simple idea: to paint animals (and, sometimes, beastie people) in a way that feels carefree, a little wild, and genuinely fun. Kind of ugly, but cute.

Each Beastie portrait is painted by me in acrylic on sturdy 5mm+ cardboard. I work in small studio bursts, so spaces are limited, but that’s part of the charm. These are one-off companions designed to light up a room—handmade with love and care, posted to your door, and ready to frame (or keep raw and gorgeous).
